Thank you so much. My pug is home after her dental procedure and she’s totally out of it. Can’t settle. Disorientated. Awful. Don’t know if it’s normal.

Every two to three weeks my small dog (14 years old) has stools with bright red blood around it. He acts totally normal, running around, eating and drinking but this blood in his stool makes me so emotional! I’ve taken him into the vet so many times and they keep telling me he’s fine but just has an upset tummy. They gave him prescription foods but he’s such a picky eater he won’t eat them. I just can’t figure out why this happens every two to three weeks!

What do you do if the vet drew a fasting blood sample, but it isn't viable due to being too lipemic (too much fat in blood)? Trying switch from Hills Rx i/d lowfat canned food to chicken and rice for 5 days before giving it another try. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea what's next in order to get PLI and TPI???

Dr. Becker, THANK YOU for all the information you have taken the time to provide here in hopes of helping fur baby parents. My 17 year old Yorkie became very ill after eating Badlands Ranch food. I usually cook his food and in between i was giving him the Badlands Ranch for almost a year. This time he had a server reaction to a New bag of the Badlands Ranch after just one serving. It was a nightmare. He brcame lethargic and could not stand up. After rushing him to the ER, over a 3 day period, one of the Vets diagnosed him with Pancreatitis. She gave him some antibiotics (just in case...) and suggested probiotics and pain meds. He recovered well but it was only a band-aid recovery. I feed him his home cooked diet( chicken and veggies and some homeade chicken broth) but he goes up and down. The last few two days hes had bad diarrhea. I did research ( as i am still doing) and have him up again. His appetite is better but he has muscle waste. I live in Manhattan and the vets here charge A LOT. Ive already incurred over $3000 in debt for his care. I have an Excellent Enzyme supplement that ive been giving him. Enzyme Miracle by Nusentia( made in USA) twice a day. Im also giving him Visbiome prescribe by one of the vets. In addition, im giving him Rx for Pets Rx Clay to help regulate bowel function and promote normal stool( when he has diarrhea). Im also giving him Adoptrex( by Gold Standard Herbs) to maintain strong, healthy digestive tract. Im addition im giving him Sacred 7 Mushroom supplement by Naturealm. Im going to chrck his blood work from kast doctor. His Lepase level was over 4000! Going to check for anything that shows B12 deficiency. Because im on a fixed income( senior). Im just going to treat "as if" and by him a B-12 Supplement. Again, my sincerest gratitude for all you have sharrd with us. God Bless You 🙏❤

PLEASE HELP MY BABY!!!! I believe my dog has mange. I’ve took him to the vet several times and spent money that I did not even just to receive medication and have it come right back. I suggested that it was mange, but they told me it was his allergies. I’ve changed his food, I’ve given him all the medicated shampoos. He is miserable all day every day. I truly believe that it is mange. I’ve given him flea medication. My question is if I give him the type of flea medicine that you’re recommending will that cure the mange or do I still have to do something else. I cannot afford to go back to the vet and spend all this money but I love my dog dearly and I’m so tired of seeing him be miserable. I just want to cure him. he is eight years old. This started last February. It just started with a little bit of an area on his back and it has just progressed. I’m pretty sure that it’s the mange. Please please please help my dog.❤

I was playing with my dog and she’s relentless careless and persistent. I was hiding a toy under me and she forced her head in my stomach to get the toy. When she popped out I saw this and I was like wtf? 😳 and I held her close to me and massaged her face and it disappeared I’m wondering if I worsened it though just cause it went away doesn’t mean it was resolved what do you think?

Your detached laughter to nothing said that is funny is off putting; call it dry humor or the like it obstructs the point you are making. No disrespect, but total respect for what you are attempting to do, but it just seems the line of communication can become clearer without jokes not linked to what you have said. It is as if someone or something is influencing you to laugh. Listen, I’m trying to stay connected so I can receive your content and provide a thumbs-up and share that, which I have received. Be blessed and keep at it because I want to hear what you have to say. Thank you and I wish you all the best.

My door is WIDE open 24/7 and my dog will cock his leg within inches of the open door. He will go absoutely EVERYWHERE in the house. He's been fixed. I use spray deterrent and still he goes. It's not little marking sprays, it's full bladder elimination. He'll do it right in front of me without shame. To say it pisses me off is the understatement of the century. He's taken on daily walks. He wants for absoutely nothing. So what the hell? I live in a rental house. If he doesn't stop... it could be an appointment with Dr death. I can't afford to replace carpet and paint walls. He's 8 years old tomorrow, so it's not just naughty puppy behaviour.

2 years ago I took my dog for dental work. She was having difficulty breathing especially through her nose. She was a little overweight. It took some hours before it went away but I got so worried do I said I would never take her back. Recently she has had some growths on her body likr nodules. She will get them removed tomorrow along with dental work. Shes about 13 years old and has lost some weight since that time but still is not at her ideal weight. What would cause the breathing issues? Can it get worst this time? Can she die?

My dog hasn't peed in the house since he was a puppy for two years now, but suddenly he just keeps peeing in the house. Specifically on the bed legs in our rooms. We always take him outside and if we leave a door unattended he just goes in and we wouldn't know until we step on it or that it seeped into the bed skirt/floorboards.

I was 4 when my cat was born. Today I'm 25. She was there when I was in kindergarden, school, university. She was there when I moved away from home, and there when I came back to visit. She was there as far back as my memories go. She was a wild soul. In her youth she could dissapear during the summer for literal months at a time. Each time we thought, "Well, this time she's gone or dead for sure", and each time she'd return casually on a rainy september day, drenched in water and beelining straight for the food bowl, like nothing had happened. And then she'd stay to cozy up every single day during the winter. I think she singlehandedly kept the local mice population down, hahaha. Yet for how vicious she was towards the local rodents, she was the sweetest soul when she stepped in through the porch. She would always pursue the most lively, people-filled room in the house, and sit with the people, always purring and watching the conversations, like she'd know what we were talking about. And she would always be purring. Nonstop. Eye contact was enough to rev her engine, and making her happy. A guest once called her "The soul of a golden retriever in a cat's body". What an animal. Today is the day. It's been a damn good run. Rest in peace, Hermione. The wildest yet gentlest cat I have ever known.

My dog is a rescue from the country of Turkey….we rescued her 6 mos ago in Dec. She did no start all these allergies until just 3 months ago. She coughs, sneezes, itchy and coughs. Vet suggested Zyrtec, which helps a lot but she is only on a 10 mg dose once a day. She is 55 lbs and can another 1/2 tablet. I also give her honey/lemon mix and that helps very much for the cough. my question: Why, when person inquires information about dog allergies, having a cough is never mentioned as one of the symptoms???

My cat has been hyperT for 2 years now. Taking the pills. But I find the easiest way to give it is crush it into a bit of wet food. Once that is gone, he gets the rest of his meal. He does not even notice the medicine. To add to symptoms mentioned here, my kitty was drinking more water and peeing more than usual. At first I thought he might be diabetic. But I am glad that was not the problem. hyperT is much easier to treat.
